Sales of digital cameras are well beyond the best predictions. A recent Decima survey for 3M Canada shows there are seven million digital cameras being used in Canada in 6.9 million households.

And, the industry is selling about 2.5 million digital cameras a year.

That's a lot! Last year's most popular Christmas gift could repeat itself this year.

Naturally, people are taking plenty of photos on their digital cameras - after all, it's easy and cost-free. Yet, a couple of trends are worth noting in this case study on digital photography.
